Free Admission to the Reichstag

All visits to the Reichstag dome and all official tours are free of charge. This guide explains how to register and secure your spot.

The German Bundestag believes in transparency and access for all, which is why visiting the Reichstag Building is completely free. However, due to immense popularity and security protocols, advance registration is mandatory for everyone. This page details the simple process to book your free visit. For information on accessibility, see our accessibility page.

Who Can Visit for Free?

Everyone! There are no admission fees for any of the visitor services offered by the German Bundestag, including:

    • Visits to the dome and roof terrace
    • 90-minute guided tours of the building
    • 45-minute lectures in the plenary chamber

While the visit is free of charge, you cannot enter without a confirmed time slot. All visitors must be registered by name in advance.

How to Register for Your Free Visit

The easiest and most reliable way to secure your visit is through the official online registration form on the Bundestag website. You will need to provide the last name, first name, and date of birth for each person in your group. It is best to book several weeks in advance.

On-Site Registration

If you did not book in advance, you can try to register in person at the service office located near the Reichstag Building on Scheidemannstraße. They can issue tickets for available slots within the next two days, but availability is very limited and not guaranteed. You will need your photo ID to register.
